about us
Hi! It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Donaciano C. Sandoval. I am the leader of The Neighborhood Engineers. With me comes 10 years plus of experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. My experience ranges vastly from industrial equipment used to store fruits, and vegetables, to comfort cooling for those hot days when you just can't bare the heat.

Customer service is my number one priority. I feel as though many overlook it, but making sure that you're well taken care of is my main goal. I want to make sure that when it is icy cold outside, you're toasty inside. Vice versa, when the sun seems to be putting out a tad bit too much heat, you can be inside relaxing in a nice cool living room.

Frequently asked questions
-
What's your availability? (Repairs/System Replacements)Head on over to our booking calendar to check availability. I am available for repairs, and service Sunday through Thursday from 9am to 1pm. For complete system replacements, those are a longer process considering paperwork with the county, and scheduling inspectors for quality assurance once the work has been performed. Normally those must be scheduled for Fridays, and Saturdays.
-
What forms of payment do you accept?Currently we accept card or cash as well as digital through means of Venmo.
-
What's the fastest way to get in touch with you?The quickest way to reach us would be to email info@nghdengs.com.
-
Do you offer financing?Currently, we only offer financing to our customers in Yolo County. Looking forward we will be exploring more options to be able to provide financing for all.
-
Is there any paperwork I have to sign?Yes, there will be a contract formed once a bid is accepted. Upon signing, the process will begin of getting permits with the county, scheduling for the work to be performed, and final inspections. Once everything has been greenlit, final payment will be due.
-
What will we go over?During the consultation, I go over a variety of things such as how big of a system you need, an analysis of the materials used to build your space, the entire process from start to finish of legalities, and an overview of the actual work to be done.
-
How long does the appointment take?Usually no long than an hour, sometimes two depending on the size of the home, but its rare.
-
Do I have to pay anthing for the consultation? Not at all! It is free of charge. Even if you're just interested in an overview of the state of your current system. That's free as well.
-
What's the warranty on your parts?Whatever the manufacturer gives. Depending on the part, some can be for a year, others could be for five, and few would be for eight or more. It all depends on the quality of part, and the importance of it.
-
What can I expect from a repair?HVACR is our craft. With every repair you can expect us to resolve the issue in a timely manner, and give a 3 month warranty on each repair. We want to make sure you're taken care of to the fullest. That's our goal, and promise to you!
-
How fast can you repair a system? It depends on what day of the week it is. The most common repairs we can fix on-site when we arrive. Others where you may have a more specialized system with more specialized parts may take a few appointments depending on availability of parts from the manufacturer.
-
Is there anything I need to do on my end?As much information that you can give us when first contacting us, the better. It saves time for both of us because we can get an idea of what is going on before taking a look at your system. It helps us get ahead of the problem.
-
Are the prices set in stone? No, every job varies. Some may have a blown capacitor, while others could have a bad fan motor, and in extreme cases, a failed compressor entirely. It is a range we have set on our site as we've seen that those are usually the prices for repairs. A repair can exceed the range depending on the severity, but hardly ever have we encountered such an instance.
-
What is a tune-up?A tune-up is where I go over your entire system, and perform a full maintenance. This includes many things, but to name a few: condenser cleaning, evaporator cleaning, filter changing, airflow check, etc.
-
Do you offer a maintenance agreement? We plan to in the future yes. If you open an account with us, you'll be one of the first to know when we do. There's special perks in the works that we plan to offer customers once we have everything in order ;)
-
Why get a tune-up?A tune-up makes sure that you're system is running correctly, and it gives a sense of security. Problems can be caught in the knick of time before becoming serious issues later on. A small bill fixed is much more favored over a catastrophic one down the line. Preventative is key instead of reactive.
-
How often should tune-ups be done?If you run your system a lot in both summer and winter, I recommend you get a tune-up bi-seasonally. Two times a year ensures your ready for the heavy load that summer brings as well as the need for heat when the fridgid winds come rolling through.
-
Is a tune-up expensive? Not at all! This is the cheapest service we offer. A good thorough once over is a valuable investment for those who aren't keen to unfortunate surprises.
